Centerstone Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2017, Citation

Producer: Citation Wine
“We began developing Erratic Oaks Vineyard over ten years ago, and I continue to be awe-struck each year: Beautiful acreage in the upcoming Pisgah sub-AVA of the Willamette Valley, just across the road from the renowned Freedom Hill Vineyard, but with a slightly warmer Southwest facing orientation.” – Howard Rossbach

Centerstone Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, sourced entirely from our Erratic Oaks Vineyard, fully reflects the qualities or terroir of our magnificent site.  Sourced from select blocks the hand harvested grapes were destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks.  Only the gentlest techniques were used during the alcohol and ensuing malo-lactic fermentations.  The wine was briefly oak aged to enhance the fruit and tannin structure.

The bright rich aromas of raspberry, blackberry, strawberry and cherry meld together and flow into their flavor counterparts on the palette.  Soft, yet firm tannins frame the fruit with spices and vanilla into a lingering finish.
