Production Area: The summer heat and the sea breezes give Nerello Mascalese it's vibrant character. The grapes are grown on hills facing southeast & southwest on medium textured and clayey soils. Vertical trellis training allows the wine maker control over the ripening of the grapes. Guyot pruning allows control over the production.

Aroma: The nose is fresh with notes of prunes, roses and violets.
Taste: The sun ripened grapes make it very aromatic and persistent wine with elegant tannins and sharp minerality.
Cellaring Potential: 3 years.
Food Matching: Pasta and meat sauce, grilled sausages, meatballs and matured cheeses.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested during the last 20 days of September. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
Aging: The aging is done in steel tanks then in the bottle for at least 3 months before it's release.
