The climate is temperate, Mediterranean, with morning mist and strong maritime influence due to the proximity of the Pacific Ocean and the Maipo River.

Aroma

Spicy and fruity characters, notes of cassis, cedar, smoke, chocolate and hazelnuts with red fruits and plus.

Taste

Good balance, structure and concentration. Fresh and juicy with toasted and fruity notes of ripe and and present tannins which give it persistence and a long finish.

Food Matching

Serve with emmental or brie, meat pies, red meats or traditional empanadas.

Vinification

The grapes were hand-harvested during the second week of April. Cold maceration for 7 days in stainless steel tanks followed by fermentation. After fermentation concludes, the wine stays in contact with the skins for 7-10 days.

Aging

80% of the wine is aged in French oak for 8-10 months.
