Partners Robert Tomé and Tony Macchione founded Stem Wine Group on March 8, 2004. After many successful years working for a local wine agency, they wanted to create a professional, dynamic, and ambitious company, committed to offering their clients an impressive portfolio of wines and accessory products from across the globe. Their initial portfolio spanned a modest five wineries from just two wine-producing regions: California and Italy.

Within a month of Stem Wine Group’s launch, Robert and Tony made what turned out to be a very important trip to Verona, Italy, to attend the largest wine exposition in the world: VinItaly. In four days, they added 14 new wineries to their ‘Family of Wines’ and came away from the event with a great deal of knowledge and experience from world-renowned winemakers and producers.

As of June 2008, just over four years later, the Stem Wine Group family has grown globally from five wineries to 36, with a special focus on all regions of Italy, more key wines from California, Argentina, New Zealand, Spain, and several quality wines from Australia.

At Stem Wine Group we believe in doing things for the right reasons. That attitude has propelled us into one of the top consignment wine agents in Ontario in only four short years. Stem Wine has become well-known and highly regarded in the industry, our future is bright and the sky's the limit.
